Red Leaf was established by a group of experienced pulp and paper industry professionals looking to capitalize on the shift to providing a more sustainable pulp product to the market. Red Leaf will produce non-wood alternative fibre and renewable energy that will be sustainable in both production and use.
Red Leaf initiated an environmental assessment in Saskatchewan on May 12, 2021 and received final approval to its Regina Project on November 3, 2022. This process included significant public consultation considering the potential environmental impacts associated with the project, and identified mitigation measures to ensure the development is safe and not a nuisance to the environment and surrounding community.
